Victorian William Hutton & Sons T-Handle Meat Carving Fork – Sheffield, c.1890
A rare and functional piece of Victorian kitchenalia. This antique carving fork features a distinctive "T-handle" (transverse) design, engineered for providing maximum downward pressure when carving large roasts, hams, or poultry. The handle is made from turned wood with classic decorative ribbing.
Crafted by the renowned William Hutton & Sons of Sheffield, England, the fork bears the company's famous "Crossed Arrows" trademark alongside the "W H & S" maker's mark. This will have been made between 1880 and 1910.
Excellent vintage condition with a beautiful aged patina to the silver plate and no cracks to the handle. The wood does turn which is expected due to the age.
