Antique Wedgwood & Co. "Blue Willow" Handled Vegetable Dish, c.1891–1900
This Victorian-era transferware dish was produced by Wedgwood & Co. (Enoch Wedgwood) at the Unicorn Works in Tunstall, England. The piece features the iconic Blue Willow pattern, a Chinoiserie design depicting the legendary tale of two star-crossed lovers transformed into birds.
It’s a square, deep-welled serving dish with elegant "lug" (integral) handles and scalloped corners.
The base bears the printed Unicorn logo mark with "Wedgwood & Co, England." This specific mark dates the piece to the late 19th century. Note that this is the sought-after Enoch Wedgwood production, distinct from Josiah Wedgwood & Sons.
It’s in excellent antique condition with no visible chips or cracks. The glaze remains bright and clear, making it perfectly suitable for both display and light use.
