Antique Victorian Blue Willow Transferware Deep Dish / Serving Baker Bowl (c. 19th C)

£20.00

This antique Victorian Blue Willow transferware deep dish was crafted in Staffordshire, England, during the mid-to-late 19th century. It’s made of heavy English ironstone and it features the classic Blue Willow pattern. The intricate central design depicts the iconic romantic oriental landscape complete with two doves soaring in flight, a traditional pagoda teahouse, a arched bridge with figures, and sweeping weeping willow trees.

Thanks to its depth and size, it’s a versatile piece that could be a centerpiece, a fruit bowl, egg bowl, or a standalone piced on an open shelf. If you wanted to add some traditional charm to a bathroom, pile it with rolled flannels for a chic touch.
