A striking vintage Japanese porcelain ginger jar vase featuring hand-painted colourful enamel peacocks and lush peony blossoms set against a glossy black background. Finished with yellow shoulder patterning and base leaf details. Stamped "MADE IN JAPAN" with a red kanji mark on the base. A great statement piece for a mantle or shelf arrangement. Fill with stems for a real centrepiece. Dates from between 1950 and 1970.
