Vintage 1930s Burleigh Ware "Willow" Pattern Blue & White Plate – Burslem, England

This lovely vintage blue and white "Willow" pattern plate was manufactured by the historic Burgess & Leigh pottery under their coveted "Burleigh Ware" label. Crafted in Burslem, Staffordshire, England, this piece likely dates to the 1920s or 1930s.

The transfer design depicts the legend of the Blue Willow, featuring the iconic pagoda, bridge, weeping willow tree, and the transformation of the lovers into flying doves. Surrounded by a detailed geometric and floral border, the deep cobalt blue contrasts gorgeously against the cream earthenware body. Vintage condition - crazing and one small hairline fracture at the back barely noticeable.
