Santa Maria Novella Faramaceutica 20thC Dish

This small bowl dish comes from the world’s oldest documented Pharmacy, Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy in Florence. Originating in 1221, it still exists today and is famous for its perfumes, soaps and pot pourri. This dish is circa mid 20th century and is an extremely unique and rare item. White and round in shape with blue hand-painted writing stating “Di • S. Maria Novella Off. Profumo Farmaceutica”. Perfect for use as a soap dish, jewellery trinket tray or just as a decorative item.
